Wedding Fallout The action picks up at the wedding just moments after the last episode and Lorelai scrambles around looking for Luke. When she can't find him, she downplays what happened with Christopher and Luke to Rory and calls a cab for a ride back to Stars Hollow.

Lorelai heads to the diner, but Luke isn't there. She runs into Babette and Morty. They know all about her "parents shindig" and ask why Lorelai isn't with Luke. They know Taylor's going to flip if Luke and Lorelai split. Lorelai then stumbles upon Kirk. He realizes that Luke and Lorelai may be splitting up and fears the wrath of Taylor too. Kirk does however, point Lorelai to the direction of the movie theatre where he recently saw Luke. At the theater, Luke doesn't want to hear Lorelai's apologies, explanations or otherwise. He asks her to give him some time and he'll call her when he's ready.

Yale Happenings Rory's having her own relationship problems after the embarrassing spectacle of having her mom, dad and Luke crash in on Logan and her half-dressed. She hopes that Logan may have called after leaving the party, but a half-asleep Paris tells her that he didn't. The next day Paris and Rory seek relationship advice from their former roommate Janet and another friend, Althea. They tell Rory that it's up to her to contact Logan because of the way the evening ended. Their best advice is to make a casual date with him, yet look hot.

Lorelai's Seen Better Days The next day, Lorelai tells only Sookie about her problems with Luke and asks her how much time she thinks Luke needs. Sookie has no idea. To make matters worse, the whole town knows about her toubles. Taylor is handing out ribbons: pink for Lorelai, and blue for Luke, so that town residents can show whose side they are on without having to speak. Lorelai, ignoring Luke's request for space, corners Luke at Doose's Market and apologizes. She promises to never see Chris or her parents again. He asks her again to give him more time to think, but she presses him saying, "I'm in. I'm all in." It's too late. Luke says he can't be in the relationship anymore - it's too much for him. This puts Lorelai into a full-on depression.

Let's Hang Out Rory follows Janet's and Althea's advice and makes a plan with Logan to hang out, but when she gets there it's a guys' casino night. Not exactly what she was looking for, but she sticks around to save face and eventually falls asleep on Logan's couch.

Sookie, Rory, Lane And Frank To The Rescue When Lorelai blows off her responsibilities at The Dragonfly, instead of getting mad, Sookie heads over to Lorelai's to check on her. Finding Lorelai in a terrible state, Sookie calls Rory at Yale to help her. Rory, however, doesn't have a car to get home since it's in the shop. Logan overhears her distress and offers the services of his car - and driver, Frank - to get her home.

Rory finds Lorelai in a terrible state. She looks like she's been crying for days. Rory heads out with Frank (and picking up Lane along the way) to get DVDs, magazines, food and other comfort supplies. Rory also shows some spunk by demanding all the remaining ribbons from Taylor. Meanwhile, in a dream sequence, Lorelai remembers that after Luke said he was "all in" she didn't say anything back to him.

Call To A Friend After the Rory intervention, Lorelai feels better, but still can't resist temptation and calls Luke. She leaves him a lengthy message on his answering machine BEGGING him to come over. After hanging up, she realizes what a mistake that call was and heads over to Luke's to get the answering machine tape. When she returns home, Luke is there. He heard her message. Lorelai has more apologies for Luke and then realizes how badly she has been acting. She gives Luke the tape - and finally - the space he was asking for.

Let's Hang Out Redefined Rory visits Logan and returns his car and driver. After a very roundabout discussion they decide to hang out - alone next week. Then they kiss.
