Tom Welling is Clark Kent
Tom Welling makes his series debut with Smallville. Born and raised in New York, he performed in a few high school theater productions. He recently moved to L.A. to pursue acting and landed a recurring role on "Judging Amy." He was chosen to portray Clark Kent after a nationwide search to find a fresh face for the role. Tom had a role in "Cheaper by the Dozen" and is currently working on "Cheaper by the Dozen 2." Welling now lives in L.A., is married and enjoys reading, playing basketball and running.

Kristin Kreuk is Lana Lang
A native of Vancouver, Kristin Kreuk only recently began acting. During her senior year in high school, she was cast in the TV series "Edgemont" after her first professional audition. Kreuk appeared in "EuroTrip" as well as "Legend of Earthsea," a television mini-series and will star in the upcoming movie "Partition." Currently, she is one of the faces of Neutrogena. Kreuk currently lives in Vancouver and when not working enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Michael Rosenbaum is Lex Luthor Michael Rosenbaum is a familiar face to The WB viewers. He was a regular on "The Tom Show" with Tom Arnold, and then portrayed Jack on "Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane."
Born in Oceanside, N.Y. and raised in Newburgh, Ind., Rosenbaum began acting in stage productions at his college, Western Kentucky University and in regional theaters during the summers. After graduation, he went to New York where he landed roles in off-Broadway productions and small independent films, and soon segued into regular appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" in a sketch called "The Amsterdam Kids."
Rosenbaum's recent film credits include "Sweet November," with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron; "Urban Legend," and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil."
He stars in "Sorority Boys," with Barry Watson and "Poolhall Junkies" with Christopher Walken, Rick Schroder and Chaz Palminteri and also had a role in "Bringing Down the House." Recently, Rosenbaum has lent his voice to the animated world and is featured in " Justice League," "Racing Stripes" and "Jackie Chan Adventures." He has also lent his voice for the video game "Gladius."
A resident of L.A., he loves hockey and belongs to an ice hockey league.

John Schneider is Jonathan Kent
Viewers will probably recognize John Schneider from his role as Bo Duke on "The Dukes of Hazzard." He's also had regular roles of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" and "Heaven Help Us."
A singer and songwriter as well, Schneider did 487 performances of the Tony Award-winning musical "Grand Hotel" and has released 11 solo albums, including a No. 1 album and four No. 1 singles. Also involved in charity work, he has co-founded the Children's Miracle Network which has raised more than $1 billion for hospitals in the United States and Canada since its inception in 1982.
Schneider has starred in a number of television movies such as "Lightning: Fire From the Sky" and "Mary Christmas." He will also have a role in the upcoming TV movie "Felicity: An American Girl Adventure." Annette O'Toole is Martha Kent
Annette O'Toole has had a long and varied career in television, stage and film. Acting since the age 13, her first break came with a role as a conniving beauty pageant contestant in the 1975 film "Smile."
Since then, she has played the role of Lana Lang in the 1983 film "Superman III." Other film roles include "48 Hrs," "Cat People," "Hear on Earth," "King of the Gypsies" and "Love at Large."
Recently O'Toole starred on TV series "The Huntress," and "Nash Bridges." She has been nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for her role as Rose Kennedy in the TV miniseries "The Kennedys of Massachusetts." Her other TV movie credits include "The War Between the Tates," "Stand By Your Man," Love for Rent," "A Girl of the Limberlost," "The Entertainer," "Stephen King's 'It'," and "Danielle Steel's 'Jewels.' "
Her theater credits include a run in Los Angeles in "Vanities" and performances of "Yankee Wives" and "Sun Bearing Down" at The Globe Theater.
Currently living in Los Angeles, O'Toole is married to actor Michael McKean ("Laverne & Shirley," "Best in Show").

Allison Mack is Chloe Sullivan
Allison Mack has been working as an actress and model since the age of 4. Born in Germany, but raised in Southern California, she began her career in print and commercials. She began studying at the Young Actors Space in L.A. when she was 7 and she still takes classes there.
Mack has had roles on TV comedies "Opposite Sex" and "Hiller and Diller." She has guest-starred on 7th Heaven and can be seen on Kids' WB! this fall in two episodes of "The Nightmare Room."
She has appeared in many television movies including "My Horrible Year," with Karen Allen, Mimi Rogers and Eric Stoltz; "A Private Matter" with Sissy Spacek and Aidan Quinn; "Living a Lie" with Peter Coyote and Jill Eichenberry; "Unlikely Angel" with Dolly Parton and Roddy McDowall;" "Stolen Memories: Secrets From the Rose Garden" starring Mary Tyler Moore and Linda Lavin; and "A Mother's Revenge."
On the big screen, Mack appeared in "Camp Nowhere" and starred in the video release "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves."
A dancer and singer currently living in Los Angeles, Mack enjoys reading, going to movies and plays and spending time with her friends and family.

John Glover is Lionel Luthor
A veteran actor of theater, film, and television, Glover won a Tony award in 1995 for his performances in the play "Love! Valor! Compassion!" and has been Emmy-nominated five times.
His impressive resume also includes such box office hits as "Payback" with Mel Gibson, Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" "Robocop 2" and ""Love! Valour! Compassion!" Glover lit up the small screen as well with Emmy-nominated turns in the series "Frazier," "LA Law" and "Crime & Punishment."
Glover has played more despicable (and believable) villains than any other actor in the business. His portrayals include villains such as the pornographer-blackmailer in "52 Pick-Up," the mad scientist Dr. Jason Woodrue in "Batman & Robin," a manic TV executive in "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" and a drunken murderer in "Masquerade." Taking his villainous streak to the extreme, Glover portrayed Satan in "Brimstone."
Glover's role in "Smallville" marks his third association with a role linked to DC Comics--first as the Riddler in "Batman: The Animated Series" (1992), then as Dr. Jason Woodrue in "Batman & Robin" (1997) and now as Lionel Luthor in "Smallville."
Glover splits his time between Maryland (where he was born), Los Angeles and Vancouver. Striving to increase the awareness for the disease as well as raise much-needed funds for a cure, John dedicates his time to the Alzheimer's Association. He also funds a scholarship for actors at his alma mater, Towson University, and returns to teach classes in his free time.

Sam Jones III is Pete Ross
Sam Jones III's career got off to an early start. A native of Boston, he acted in local commercials as a child. He caught the acting bug while spending the summer with a friend in L.A. and after high school graduation he moved to L.A. to pursue acting.
Jones landed many TV guest-starring roles as troubled teens on "NYPD Blue," "CSI," and "Judging Amy."
Jones will soon make his big screen debut in "Zigzag" with Wesley Snipes. He'll also appear in "Snipes" with rapper Nelly and Dean Winters.
Jones lives in L.A. and spends his free time on the basketball court.

Eric Johnson is Whitney Fordham
Eric Johnson's Smallville character, Lana's boyfriend "Whitney," went off to the Marines at the end of season one.
In season two, he is killed in the line of duty.
A native of Edmonton, Canada, Eric Johnson began performing professional after enrolling in theater school at age 9. By age 14, he landed the role of the young Tristin, Brad Pitt's character in "Legends of the Fall."
Johnson's TV movie credits include "Atomic Train" with Rob Lowe, Kristin Davis and Mena Suvari; "Oklahoma City" with Kathy Baker as a survivor of the Oklahoma City bombing; and "Children of Fortune."
On the big screen, he will be seen opposite James Van Der Beek and Dylan McDermott in "Texas Rangers."
Johnson enjoys playing guitar, camping and playing basketball, football and baseball.

Kelly Brook is Victoria Hardwick
British actress Kelly Brook joined the cast of Smallville in a four-episode arc during season one as Lex's ex-girlfriend from boarding school, back to rekindle and fuel Lex's dark side.
Born Kelly Parsons in Rochester, Kent, UK, Brook (her stage name) studied for 3 years at the Italia Conti stage school in London, after winning a scholarship at age 12. She tried modeling at age 16, and quickly became one of the hottest lingerie models in Britain. Her professional acting credits began when she was 18, hosting British television morning show, "The Big Breakfast." Brook's past film credits include two thrillers: as "Sarah" in British film "Sorted" and as "Marisa" in "Ripper: Letter from Hell."

Emmanuelle Vaugier is
Dr. Helen Bryce
Emmanuelle portrays Lex's love interest in season two. A doctor at Smallville's local hospital, she is always on hand when someone gets hurt, which happens often. They are wed at the end of season two. At the beginning of season three we find out that Helen schemed to have Lex die in a plane crash while on their way to their honeymoon. Lex has his revenge shortly after when the plane goes down as they are on their way to a second honeymoon.
Emmanuelle was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1976. She has had several TV roles since 1995. She most recently appeared on several episodes of One Tree Hill. Her film roles include the romantic comedy "40 Days and 40 Nights," a small role in "Secondhand Lions," and a leading role in 2003 thriller "Water's Edge."
