Saddest SATC Moments
You can't deny that SATC is hilarious at times, but its sad scenes are among TV's most heartwrenching. Check out the moments that brought tears to your eyes:

Friends at the funeral
"My favorite is the episode when Miranda's mom dies, and at the end of the funeral she is walking up the aisle alone, until Carrie joins her and takes her hand and kisses it and as they proceed out, they see Steve and Aidan who came from NY for the funeral unbeknownst to the girls. It never fails to make me cry!'"

That final night on the floor
"Although I always hoped Carrie and Big would end up with each other, Aidan and Carrie spending the last night on the floor ending with Aidan moving out the next day broke my heart. I knew that feeling of knowing a powerful connection is lost all too well."

Charlotte's miscarriage
"When Charlotte miscarried. It was so sad to see her so devastated."

The final scene
"The scene that brought me to tears on SATC was the very last one in the last episode, when the gals are reunited with Carrie after her return from Paris and they just pick up where they left off....they had all been through so much in their lives and they went through it together and just seeing what great friends... no, soul sisters... they were, just made me break down and cry like a baby. My husband happened to come home when I was watching this episode and thought someone had died, I was crying so much! To have such special people in your life is so wonderful. Not really a heartbreakingly sad moment, but a moment that brought me to tears."

Such a cold, empty moment at Big's apartment
"(For me, it was 'I Heart New York.') At the end of the episode, Carrie finally gets to Big's apartment only to find that he had already left. She found the Henry Mancini record leaning against the wall, along with the ticket and note. She leaves and is walking home and sees the single autumn leaf hanging from a branch. At the very end she is sitting at her computer framed by her window bundled up in a heavy sweater. I cried from the moment Carrie entered Big's empty apartment all the way to the end of the episode. It seemed like such a cold, empty moment in her life. And then to see her sitting there in the window working on her column, I couldn't help but wonder what the rest of her day/night would be like. Would she be able to shake the disappointment at not seeing him before he left?"

Post-chemo Samantha and Smith
"The scene that stands out the most for me when it comes to tears is when Smith catches Samantha in the bathroom shaving her head after chemo. She is so upset and doesn't think that he will be able to handle it. But he moves her out of the way and shaves his own head neverminding the fact that his hair is 'his thing,' and then he helps Sam shave hers. Its very sweet and shows true love and devotion. He supported her in a time when she really needed it. My waterworks started right then."

Scenes with Aidan: the ultimate tearjerkers
"I wasn't exactly brought to tears, but I found two scenes memorably emotional and they both involved my favorite, Aidan. The first one was outside the church at Charlotte's wedding when Aidan told Carrie he couldn't handle her confessed affair with Big and he left. It was so sad because there was real love there but I understood his feelings of hurt and betrayal.

"The second was the morning when Aidan was packing to leave for the second time and Carrie asked him if he was sure and she told him that she was giving him back his ring. You knew this time was the last time and it had been a great love. "
