The Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program
The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) has teamed up with the Diabetic Amputation Prevention Foundation to launch a national campaign that addresses the declining health of African-American men. IDHS will offer free health screenings to African-American men at over 25 black owned barbershops throughout Chicago and surrounding areas.
