We are about to see the biggest change in television reception since the switch from black and white to color. After next February 17th, television stations must turn off their analog signals and transmit digitally. If you're among the estimated 600-thousand homes in the Chicago area that still use rabbit ears and rooftop antennas, then the TV's in your home come mid-February won't be a pretty picture, unless you make the D-T-V switch.
There are a couple of "gotchas." The coupons expire 90 days from the day they're mailed. You can't combine them. And, the government has only so much money for coupons and when it's gone it's gone.
You should also know that not all converter boxes are created equally. The best ones will pass both analog and digital signals.
We'll stay on top of this for you. But to get started click these links, or call this number to apply for the $40.00 coupons.
