On Friday Aug. 24, more than 1,000 contestants came out to “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” auditions at Medieval Times in Schaumburg.
On August 12 at Six Flags Great America, more than 1,000 fans lined up to meet CM Punk, ECW’s straightedge superstar. The CW street team was there as well, handing out WWE merchandise.
WGN-TV welcomed back the school year with its 6th annual WGN-TV Back-to-School Fair on Friday, August 3, 6-9am at WGN-TV Studios. This free fair aired live throughout WGN Morning News and featured fun, safety tips, health exams and everything parents need to get kids ready for school.

The 18th Annual Bozo Ball was held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 in the Grand Ballroom of Navy Pier. The event was hosted by WGN Television and WGN Children's Charities (a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation) and raised more than $240,000 for the Off The Street Club of Chicago from silent auction, live auction and event proceeds. The evening concluded with after-dinner dancing and music provided by The Hat Guys.
