July 9 - Sitka
WGN's Pam Grimes, Steve Scheuer, and Tom Skilling set up for an interview with Howard Ulrich, one of only four survivors of the world's largest recorded tsunami. On July 9th, 1958, an 8.0 earthquake sent so much rock sliding into Lituya Bay that it created a splash wave that at one point would have swamped the Sears Tower by 300 feet and the Empire State Building by 500 feet!
