An abandoned hardware and grocery store in the quaint community of McCarthy, inside Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in south central Alaska. You can reach McCarthy by road, though it's best to fly. Otherwise you'll miss North America's largest assemblage of glaciers, and it's greatest collection of peaks more than 16,000 feet in elevation.
